Viruses are Contagious- But so are Attitudes

Viruses are contagious.

So is panic. Fear. Hysteria. Compassion. Love. Enthusiasm. Kindness. Strength. Hope. Optimism.

Choose wisely.

We are living in a bizarre time- a time filled with fear, hysteria, sickness, differences of opinion, and a lack of toilet paper.

I don’t know exactly what the world is throwing at you during this time of crisis, but I wanted to encourage you to make today LEGENDARY-

Are you stuck in the Monday funk? Do whatever it takes to pick yourself up. Everything that you are is enough. Be you, Bravely. . .

Maybe you experienced a magnificent start-of-the-week revelation today. Maybe your biggest accomplishment was getting out of bed. Wherever you are in life, it is right where you are suppose to be. Embrace it and don’t forget to take care of yourself. You do you- and don’t forget to give yourself a little grace.

No matter what you believe in, think about this: What if there is a purpose to all the pain? What if there is an intelligence far greater than humans at work here. What if we use this scary time in history to remember that everyone could benefit from having time to reset. To remember what is truly important.

Reconnecting with family. With friends. With community. Rediscovering that at the end of the day, we are all equal- and even our environment deserves a break. Reducing travel so that our beautiful Mother Earth, our skies, our air, our lungs can get a break. Slowing down. Reconnecting to important things that tend to take a back seat in the grand scheme of every day life- meditation, creativity, reading, connecting with love ones, taking deep breaths, taking care of our mental and physical health- washing our hands.

Maybe this could be a push in the right direction- showing us how important things like working from home, paid sick leave, access to healthcare, and living wages can be.

Slow down. Stay positive. Keep smiling. Laugh often. Be kind. Keep showing up for not only yourself, but for others. Spread love- not illness. WASH YOUR HANDS.

Life is tough, but SO ARE YOU. You are not alone- don’t let yourself sink! You are alive and you are doing the damn thing and for that, I am so proud of you. This is a kind reminder that we could all use a little grace. There is always a rainbow at the end of the storm. We will rise again. Stronger. Together.

Work hard. Dream harder. There are 52 Mondays this year and how you spend them is up to you. Start off the week knowing how powerful you are. Happy Monday- PASS IT ON!
